Comprehensive Professional Evaluation

Professional evaluation is one of several avenues that help DPS educators continue to grow in their practice of the teaching profession. The process that was collaboratively designed by teachers, SSPs, administrators and community members is intended to encourage meaningful dialogue between educators and their supervisors. The process creates a platform for educators to share examples of their work, as well as provide documentation of their interaction with students and parents that demonstrates professionalism. Principals and managers also are able to provide feedback to help educators continuously improve in their work.

Beginning in 2006-2007, all teachers and SSPs will use all forms and processes of the new Comprehensive Professional Evaluation system if they are due to be evaluated. This fall, 14 schools will pilot a powerful online tool for creating, submitting, reviewing and accepting the documentation used in the professional evaluation process. Others in the district will fill out the required forms and submit them in hard copy form.

This link CPE Forms and documents   will take you to the same information stored on the Human Resources web site. Many forms are now available, including  the Comprehensive Professional Evaluation Handbook.

The  remainder will be available soon.
