One of the primary goals of the Denver Plan is to ensure that Denver Public Schools attracts and retains educators of the highest quality and demonstrated capabilities. Providing ongoing professional development – tied to the needs of our students -- is a central strategy to help you expand your skills, improve student performance, and advance your career with the district.
All educators are encouraged to take advantage of the many avenues available for professional development, including university classes and DPS inservices. In this section of MyDPS, you will find professional development opportunities sponsored by the Teaching and Learning Department. In addition, refer to the links on the Teaching and Learning Department’s professional development web site to learn more about receiving credit for courses and opportunities offered by other DPS departments and external organizations.
