Welcome to MyDPS

MyDPS is your one-stop site for information, tools, resources, and actions that you will need or implement as a teacher and student service professional with Denver Public Schools. The site is designed around three major responsibilities and/or components of your career with the district:
  1. The academic growth of your students
  2. Professional development to ensure the continued enhancement of your job skills
  3. Performance evaluation and feedback to recognize and encourage your contributions to student growth
Together, these three components are like the legs of a stool that create a strong and stable platform for your career. The tabs at the top of this page take you to information you need to take action in each of the three areas.

This site and its content may be viewed and used by any educator, regardless of whether he or she is a member of ProComp. The Professional Development tab has a special section with information and procedures only for ProComp employees who are interested in Professional Development Units (PDUs).

Eventually, we envision that this portal will serve all DPS employees, including principals, managers and classified personnel, and provide them with a doorway to customized information and resources specific to their jobs and roles within the district. MyDPS is one representation of our commitment to creating a dynamic, productive 21st century school district.

Making the Most of Your Work
The workload for educators and their supervisors was a primary concern for the teams that created the tools and processes for SGO, Professional Development and Comprehensive Professional Evaluation. For this reason, the tools and processes have been designed to support, build on and integrate with one another. The more you become familiar with each component, the more you will see how it relates to the others.

Another chart (word document) denotes the responsibilities of the educator, those of the supervisor, and those undertaken by both people.

This flow chart shows the timeline for integrating and collaborating on student growth objectives, professional evaluation and professional development.

MyDPS is a new portal on the DPS website that provides a single point of entry for information, tools and interactive applications for student growth, professional development and comprehensive professional evaluation.  All principals, managers, teachers and SSPs are encouraged to explore the site and its many dynamic offerings. The following actions and resources are available at MyDPS:
  • Teachers and SSPs can write, edit and submit their student growth objectives (SGOs).
  • Principals and managers can review and accept SGOs by logging into the SGO application.
  • Forms, handbooks and other resources are available for professional development.
  • ProComp members can log into a special site to learn more about pursuing a Professional Development Unit.
  • Forms and other resources for Comprehensive Professional Evaluation of teachers and SSPs are available.
